Oliver foundation Bio Danielle Fournier Danielle Fournier, President
Kempner High School - Sugar Land, Texas
Teen Board Member 2010 - Present

Danielle is senior at Kempner High School. She is President of Kempners Speech and Debate Team and holds the Degree of Superior Distinction in the National Forensics League. Danielle has spoken at a number of regional and national conventions around the country about the childhood obesity crisis. She is a four year member of the varsity cross country team, qualifying for 5A regionals each year and earning Freshman Runner of the Year. Danielle earned academic excellence every year, is in the National Honor Society and the Sociedad Honoria Hispanica. She was selected as a member for the Gifted and Talented Mentorship Program and School Board Junior Student Leadership Program in Fort Bend ISD. Danielle served on the Sugar Land Mayors Youth Advisory Council. She is in her third-year with NASAs INSPIRE, a research and design program. Danielle spent last summer conducting research and writing about a pediatric obesity intervention at the Baylor College of Medicine. She has attended Yale University as part of its Global Leaders Development Program, participated in a month-long Spanish immersion program, and earned college credit at Carleton College. She has also coached a competitive USAG girls gymnastics team ages 4-13 for the past four years

Oliver foundation Bio Shelby Barhorst Shelby Barhorst, Vice President
Houston Christian High School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2012 - Present

Shelby Barhorst is a junior at Houston Christian High School where she plays both varsity volleyball and lacrosse. She is ranked in the first quartile of her class and is a member of National Honor Society as well as being a student ambassador. Shelby also volunteers as a peer assisted learning tutor for her school and won the award for most outstanding algebra two student her sophomore year. This past summer, Shelby took part in a Christian Leadership Program where she backpacked through the Rocky Mountains and received her certification in lifeguarding and CPR. She also interned at Iscential Insurance Agency during the summer of 2013.

Clements High School - Sugar Land, Texas
Teen Board Member 2012 - Present

Nikita is a sophomore at Clements High School. She is a student in the Global Studies Academy at Clements and plans to study Spanish along with her other Pre AP/AP classes. She has a lifelong passion for dance and has continuously done a variety of styles ranging from ballet all the way to Indian dance forms of which she is now part of a Bollywood Senior Dance Company. Nikita is a member of her school's Varsity Stars Dance Team and is Parliamentarian of her school's DECA chapter, the largest chapter in the world. Her lifetime goal is to become a pediatrician and she hopes to continue balancing all her extra-curricular activities along with her academics to reach that goal.

Emery/Weiner School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2011- Present

Cameron is a senior at Emery/Weiner High School where he is President of the student body. He is active in sports, student government, community service and is a member of National Honor Society. He volunteers at the Refugee Center, the Benavidez School, and the Houston Food Bank. He recently spent three weeks touring East Africa and has attended Blue Star Camp for the 9th consecutive year where he was awarded the Ultimate Teen Award. Cameron enjoys mountain biking, kayaking and traveling.

Oliver foundation Bio Sydney Fucci Sydney Fucci, Event Coordinator
St. Agnes Academy - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2009 - Present

Sydney is a senior at St. Agnes Academy. She is student body vice president and a four year member of the varsity tennis team.at St. Agnes Academy. Sydney enjoys cooking and loves to create innovative and nutritious meals in her spare time. She has an interest in health and plans on majoring in business and minoring in food science. She has volunteered at the Juvenile Diabetes Run and the Sisters Network Annual Breast Cancer Walk for the past 3 years. Sydney volunteered over 100 hours this summer at the Boy and Girls Club, teaching underprivileged children the importance of creativity and fitness. She also volunteers at the Lange Tree DUCK Farm helping create an ecology center in a rural area of Texas to educate kids on organic gardening. Sydney is a fluent member of an African American networking organization called Jack and Jill of America Inc., where she has served several positions. She is an avid pianist and has played for 3 years. Sydney aspires to attend UC Berkeley or SMU.

Houston Christian High School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2012 - Present

Karina is a junior at Houston Christian High School. Karina is an honor roll student, student ambassador, and a member of varsity soccer, cross-country and track teams. She qualified for state in cross-country and soccer and received the most valuable freshman award in track and cross-country. Karina has been one of the captains of the varsity soccer team since sophomore year. She also broke the 4x800 relay record for her school with three other teammates in track. Karina won the best algebra student award freshman year. Karina was selected to backpack to Turkey in the summer of 2013 with a group of other chosen students from Houston Christian. She is a member of DSP, a class that teaches students how to conduct a problem statement, write research papers and how to properly present. Karina worked at a summer camp for kids, the Nottingham Forest Camp as head of sports.

Clements High School - Clements High School , Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Jahnvi is a sophomore at Clements High School. She is a member of the school's women's varsity choir and volunteers year round at Memorial Hermann Hospital. Jahnvi has been a classical Indian dancer for 9 years with a background in two different styles. She is a senior company member of Rhythm India, a Houston-based Bollywood Dance Company. Jahnvi hopes to pursue her goal of going into the medical field and becoming a surgeon.

Kempner High School - Sugar Land, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Kathrin is a junior at Kempner High School where she is both a scholar and an athlete. She is an honors student and currently ranked number one in her class. She is a member of the varsity softball team at Kempner and won the Most Improved award as a freshman and the Golden Glove award as a sophomore. She also plays on a select softball team. Kathrin spent part of her 2013 summer in New York as a participant of the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. Kathrin is a Senior Girl Scout, working on her Gold Award. She is a 5th grade Sunday school teacher and youth leader at her church. Kathrin enjoys traveling, especially to Lake Tahoe and California.

St. Agnes Academy - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Emily is a freshman at St. Agnes Academy. She is a member of the water polo team at SAA. Emily is a member of the Albion Hurricanes Soccer Club and plays goalkeeper. Emily has been to State Finals twice with her soccer team in the past three years. She is a member of the Green Club and Young Republicans club at Saint Agnes. She is very active in volunteering at her church and in the community.

Houston Christian High School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Daniel is a junior at Houston Christian High School. He is both an athlete and a scholar, currently in the top ten percent of his class. He plays basketball and lacrosse. Daniel is a member of the National Honor Society and school band. He enjoys peer tutoring, is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Pope John XXIII High School - Katy, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Amanda is a freshman at Pope John XXIII High School. She has been selected to the varsity cheerleading squad for the 2013-2014 school year. At John Paul II Catholic School, she was a member of the school choir, Artisan, cheerleading squad and participated in team sports. When Amanda was a member of a competitive USAG gymnastics team, she won the 2012 Texas State Floor Champion. She enjoys volunteering at her church and community.

Elkins High School - Sugar Land, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Joyce is a sophomore at Elkins High School. She is a member of Student Council and Key Club, as well as the founding president of an economics competition club and the first editor-in-chief of her school newspaper. Joyce has served as co-captain of a national championship winning competitive cheerleading team. Having attended school in three countries, she also enjoys literature, style, the news, and walking through city streets after sundown.

Lamar High School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Brandi is a senior at Lamar High School. She is a member of her school track and cross country teams. Brandi is working on her Gold Award in Girl Scouts and is currently secretary of her troop. She is very active in her church, serving on the Usher Board, N-Style, Praise Dancing and choir. Brandi is also secretary of Upward Bound at Texas Southern University. Her goal is to attend Howard University and major in communications.

St. Agnes Academy - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Camryn is a sophomore at St. Agnes Academy where she plays both junior varsity field hockey and lacrosse. She serves as Captain of the lacrosse team and was voted 2013 Defensive Player of the Year. Camryn is a member of Jack and Jill of America and serves on the nominating committee. She is a brown belt in karate and will test for her black belt later this year. She recently volunteered at Woodson Leadership Academy ad South Central region Impact Day with the city of Prairie View. She loves fishing, going to the movies and hanging out with her friends. Camryn plans to attend Spelman College in Atlanta and then pursue her passion for animals by becoming a veterinarian.
