Oliver foundation Bio Joyce Chen Joyce Chen, President
Elkins High School - Sugar Land, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Joyce is a Senior at Elkins High School. She is a member of Student Council, the founding editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, and an officer of Generation Youth Humanitarian Organization. She is also active in economic competitions. Having attended school in three countries, she also enjoys literature, style, the news, and walking through city streets after sundown.

St. Thomas High School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2014-Present

Myles is a junior at St. Thomas High School where he is a member of the track team and student council. He volunteers at the SPCA and Star of Hope Mission. Myles enjoys traveling, studying ancient civilizations, creating writing and watching movies.

Clements High School - Sugar Land, Texas
Teen Board Member 2012 - Present

Nikita is a senior at Clements High School. She is a student and the current Volunteer Secretary in the Global Studies Academy at Clements and studies Spanish along with her other Pre AP/AP classes. She has a lifelong passion for dance and has continuously done a variety of styles ranging from ballet all the way to Indian dance forms of which she is now part of the Rhythm India Bollywood Senior Dance Company. Nikita is also an active member of her school's National Spanish Honor Society and is Social Chair of her school's DECA chapter, the largest chapter in the world. Her lifetime goal is to become a pediatrician and she hopes to continue balancing all her extra-curricular activities along with her academics to reach that goal.

Clements High School - Clements High School , Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Jahnvi is a senior at Clements High School. She is a member of the school's women's varsity choir and volunteers year round at Memorial Hermann Hospital. Jahnvi has been a classical Indian dancer for 9 years with a background in two different styles. She is a senior company member of Rhythm India, a Houston-based Bollywood Dance Company. Jahnvi hopes to pursue her goal of going into the medical field and becoming a surgeon.

St. Agnes Academy - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2014-Present

Lauren is sophomore at St. Agnes Academy where she plays hockey and runs track. She is a member of the Speech and Debate Team, as well as the Step Team. Lauren enjoys reading and biking with her friends.

The Kinkaid School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2014 - Present

Bradlee is a senior at The Kinkaid School in Houston, TX. She is the founder and president of the Foodie Club and a member of Varsity Cross Country and Track teams at Kinkaid. Bradlee is president of her National Charity League chapter and active in Jack and Jill of America. She is working towards her Gold Award in Girl Scouts.

Board Member 2014-Present

Annika is a senior at Clements High School. She is a scholar and a member of her school's DECA chapter, competing twice at the national level. Annika is a member of the school choir. She enjoys cooking, reading, and exercising.

Quail Valley Middle School - Missouri City, Texas
Teen Board member 2014 - Present

Sky is an eighth grader at the Gifted and Talented Academy at Quail Valley Middle School. He is a member of his school's Quiz Bowl competition team, National Junior Honor Society, and competition math team. He plays numerous sports and also enjoys traveling and reading.

St. John XXIII College Preparatory - Katy, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Amanda is a junior at St. John XXIII College Preparatory where she is on the varsity cheerleading squad. She is also a member of the Universal Cheerleaders Association All-American cheer squad. As a member of the All-American cheer team, she traveled to London to perform in the 2015 New Year's Day Parade. Amanda participates on the St. John XXIII Varsity Track Team and is a Lion Ambassador for the school. Amanda received the MVP award for the 2014-2015 St. John XXIII Varsity cheer team her sophomore year. She earned the title of Texas State Floor Champion in the spring of 2012 as a member of a competitive USAG gymnastics team. She volunteers at the Houston Food Bank, the Downs Syndrome Association, Camp for All and the Ronald McDonald House. In her free time, Amanda enjoys listening to music, cooking, and spending time with friends.

St. Agnes Academy - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Emily is a junior at St. Agnes Academy. She is a member of the varsity golf team and an active member of Young Republicans at St. Agnes, as well as student council. She is treasurer of The Teen Huddle of Hope for Three, an autism awareness group in Sugar Land. Emily enjoys bow hunting and hanging out with friends. She is very active in volunteering at her church and in the community.

St. Agnes Academy - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2013 - Present

Camryn is a senior at St. Agnes Academy where she plays junior varsity field hockey, is an active member of student council. She is also a member of Voices of Black Youth and Junior Statesmen of America. She served as Captain of her field hockey team this past season and was voted 2014 Most Improved Player. Camryn is a member of Jack and Jill of America and currently serves as Teen Vice President of the Jack and Jill Houston Chapter. She recently volunteered at St. Joseph Medical Center and attended the George S. Wiley Accounting Awareness Program at Howard University. She loves fishing, going to the movies, and hanging out with her friends. Camryn plans to attend Howard University in Washington D.C and then pursue her passion for helping others by becoming a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.

First Colony Middle School - Sugar Land, Texas
Teen Board Member 2014-Present

Summer is a 8th grader at First Colony Middle School where she is a straight A student. She is a member of Student Council and Orchestra. Summer was the 2014 runner up for the Texas Health Institute Rising Star Award. As a Girl Scout she earned her Silver Award by having a Healthy Eating and Energy workshop for elementary school children. She also recently secured a Mini-grant from Girl Scouts to build a garden at Armstrong Elementary. Summer hosted a health booth on Sugary Beverages at the Goodman Elementary Health Fair, teaching kids and parents how much sugar is in popular drinks. She also took part in a Houston Dynamo Training Session joining other kids for a game of soccer with a former Houston Dynamo player, Brian Ching. Last year she completed her first Houston Kids Triathlon in 2014.

Houston Christian High School - Houston, Texas
Teen Board Member 2014-Present

Anthony is a freshman at Houston Christian High School where he is a member of the school's soccer and Lacrosse teams. He attended the DECATS (DeBusk Enrichment Center for Academically Talented Scholars for 4 years. Anthony enjoys playing sports, cooking and volunteering as a Student Mentor.

The John Cooper School - The Woodlands, Texas
Teen Board Member 2014-Present

Kyle is a freshman at The John Cooper School. He has been Junior Camp Counselor at the NASA Wellness Program where helped create the fitness program. Kyle enjoys all sports, playing the piano and acting.
